Meal Plan options for the 2017-18 Academic Year

Assumption College Dining Services offers a variety of meal plans, designed to meet the needs of students living both on and off campus. Initially, you meal plan is selected for you based on where you live and your class year.  It is up to you to determine which plan will work best for you based on your class schedule, extracurricular activities, and dining habits.  If you have questions about meal plan options, feel free to contact our team at Taylor Dining Hall (508) 767-7231. The Ultimate Plan

The Ultimate Plan provides you with unlimited access to Taylor Dining Hall.  Eat as much as you want, whenever we're open.  Just want a cup of coffee on your way to class, swing by and grab one, then come back after class and join your friends for breakfast.  We're open for lunch, dinner and late-night dining too.  You can even come in between meals and have something light or a snack.  It's all included in your plan.  This plan does not have a weekly number of meals allotted, so you never need to worry about running out of meals.

The details:

  • The Ultimate Plan is required for any first-year student residing in on-campus housing.
  • Sophomores living in housing where a meal plan is required are defaulted to this plan.
  • Juniors & Seniors living in housing where meal plans are required may choose this meal plan.
  • Students living in on-campus apartments or who commute to campus (and do not have an on-campus housing assignment) may choose this plan.
  • Includes:
    • Unlimited entrance to Taylor Dining Hall whenever it's open
    • $100 in Meal Points* per semester for use in Charlie's Snack Bar.
    • 8 Guest Meals that can be used to bring friends or family to a meal at Taylor Dining Hall.

15-Flex Plan

Flex plans include a weekly number of meals allotted and are designed to be used at Taylor Dining Hall.  New this year is the 15-Flex Plan.  This plan is designed for upper-class students (Sophomores and higher) who live in housing where meal plans are required, but want a little more choice in where they eat.  Plenty of opportunity to eat at Taylor, but the option of using a few meals at Charlie's if you'd like.

The details:

  • Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors living in housing where meal plans are required may choose this meal plan.
  • This plan is NOT available to First-year students residing in on-campus housing.
  • Students living in on-campus apartments or who commute to campus (and do not have an on-campus housing assignment) may choose this plan.
  • Includes:
    • 15 meals per week.
      • 10 must be used at Taylor Dining Hall; the other 5 can be used at Taylor, or after 2:00 p.m. at Charlie's.
    • $100 in Meal Points* per semester for use in Charlie's Snack Bar.
    • 8 Guest Meals that can be used to bring friends or family to a meal at Taylor Dining Hall.

10 Flex Meal Plan

Like the 15-Flex Plan, the 10-Flex plan allows you to eat some of your meals at Charlie's.  Not quite sure where your day will take you?  This plan may be just right for you, offering the ultimate in flexibility - you get to choose where to eat any of your 10 meals each week, either at Taylor or at Charlie's.

The details:

  • This is the default plan for Juniors & Seniors who live in housing where meal plans are required.
  • This plan is NOT available for First-year students or Sophomores living on campus.
  • Students living in on-campus apartments or who commute to campus (and do not have an on-campus housing assignment) may choose this plan.
  • Includes:
    • 10 meals per week that can be eaten at either Taylor or Charlie's
    • $250 in Meal Points* per semester for use in Charlie's Snack Bar.
    • 4 Guest Meals that can be used to bring friends or family to a meal at Taylor Dining Hall.

Block Meal Plans

Block Meal Plans give you the option of choosing the number of meals you'll have for the semester, instead of for the week.  Each entrance to Taylor Dining Hall is deducted from your balance as a meal.  The same is true for meals used at Charlie's


75 Block Meal Plan

  • This meal plan is NOT available to any student living in housing where meal plans are required.
  • Students living in on-campus apartments or who commute to campus (and do not have an on-campus housing assignment may choose this plan.
  • Includes:
    • 75 meals per semester that can be used at either Taylor Dining Hall or at Charlie's
    • $175 in Meal Points* per semester for use in Charlie's Snack Bar.


50 Block Meal Plan

  • This meal plan is NOT available to any student living in housing where meal plans are required.
  • Students living in on-campus apartments or who commute to campus (and do not have an on-campus housing assignment0 may choose this plan.
  • Includes:
    • 50 meals per semester that can be used at either Taylor Dining Hall or at Charlie's
    • $125 in Meal Points* per semester for use in Charlie's Snack Bar.


20 Block Meal Plan

  • This meal plan is NOT available to any student living in housing where meal plans are required.
  • Students living in on-campus apartments or who commute to campus (and do not have an on-campus housing assignment0 may choose this plan.
  • Includes:
    • 20 meals per semester that can be used at either Taylor Dining Hall or at Charlie's
    • $275 in Meal Points* per semester for use in Charlie's Snack Bar.


Meal Points

Meal Points are declining balance dollars that are included as part of your meal plan.  Think of them like a debit card that can be used to purchase food at Charlie's.  They can also be used at Taylor if you have run out of meal swipes.  In addition, they can be used to pay for some of our special event dining options.


*Meal Points are included as part of the meal plan and are not refundable. They expire on the last day of each semester.

Dining Policies & Procedures

Our mission is to provide a clean, comfortable, satisfying and affordable experience all while exceeding your expectations. In order to meet these objectives, we ask for your assistance in the following areas:
  • Please bus your dishes and disposables from your table when you have finished dining
  • Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area
    • Limit your selections to what you will consume while you are in our facility, no food is allowed to-go from Taylor unless using the take-out program. Restrictions apply
    • Please, no outside beverage containers are to be filled from the dining center dispensers
    • Please refrain from consuming any food until you have finalized your selection, arrived at your seat or have cleared the point of purchase (paid for your meal) in our retail locations.
  • Remember that Meal Cards are non-transferable.  Meal cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.
  • Meals are limited to the meal plan holder and are non-transferable. Only our block plans allow for guest usage beyond any allocated guest meals.

Meal Cards / ID's

Lost ID cards:

If you lose your ID or suspect someone else is using it, report it immediately to dining services. We will place a hold on your account and require you get a new ID from public safety. A new issue fee applies.

If you have been issues a new ID for any reason, your card will require activation for meal plan access.

Important Info
  • First-year students living on campus are required to have the Ultimate Meal Plan.
  • Sophomores living in traditional housing are automatically assigned the Ultimate Meal plan, but may choose the 15-Flex Plan.
  • Juniors & Seniors living in traditional housing are automatically assigned the 10-Flex Plan, but may choose the Ultimate or 15-Flex Plan.
  • Students living in on-campus apartments (except First-year students), and any commuter students can choose to purchase any of our meal plans.
  • The meal plan you select for the Fall semester is automatically assigned to you for the Spring Semester.
  • Unused meals, along with any unused Meal Points expire at the end of the semester.


Dietary Requirements

Do you have special restrictions or needs? No problem! Our campus Dining Services Program can accommodate your special dietary requirements. Our monitored MyZone Allergen-friendly area is equipped with dedicated appliances, toasters and microwaves so to reduce any risk of cross-contamination. In addition, we have a trained chef who prepares meals for specific allergies and other dietary sensitivities.
